Special Wine Tasting Events at The Fine Wine Reserve

In conjunction with top agents and wineries, The Fine Wine Reserve organizes high-end wine tastings for our clients. Clients with Tasting Room Memberships should also refer to this schedule to confirm availability for “drop-in” use on any particular evening.

Tasting events for our clients cater to their unique interests and discerning tastes. “General list” wines tend to be avoided. Expect rare, collectible, age-worthy and/or world class product**.

Expect the evening to be a “no-nonsense” one – interesting and worthwhile product enjoyed by a small intimate gathering of like-minded collectors and enthusiasts. Limits are placed on the number of guests to ensure your visit will be informative, with sufficient one-on-one time with the product and people featured at the event. Wine tastings are usually offered over two time slots: around 4:00pm for those wanting to be home for dinner, and around 6:00pm for those with more time.

All Fine Wine Reserve tastings are private events, and closed to the general public. Events are open to clients of The Fine Wine Reserve (past and present), their guests, and guests of the co-host(s). Clients with Private Cellaring or Custodial Cellaring accounts are both invited. Tasting Room Membership is not required to attend these special events.

Events are usually posted 2 months in advance. Space is limited and events sell out quickly. All events are RSVP at 416-593-9463 with at least 10 days notice. Last minute calls will be accommodated whenever possible. All clients of The Fine Wine Reserve should also keep in mind that the Tasting Room is available for their own private event at no charge.

** The Fine Wine Reserve is a strong believer in the potential of the Canadian Wine industry. Within the larger industry, there is a small but growing segment of ultra high-end product deemed cellar-worthy and collectable. Having some influence with the product’s target market, The Fine Wine Reserve is committed to help raise awareness for this product. As such, we will feature quality wines from selected Canadian producers from time to time. Although the offerings may not be on par with the DRC in your collections, again, don’t expect “general list” at these events. Expect premium class wines, and mid-range limited releases (niche market) that can be very difficult to obtain or sample.
