Private Cellaring appeals to those who prefer a more independent or “hands-on” approach to cellaring their wine. A self-storage format, all clients get their own private unit. There is one flat fee per month per unit, and all access, deposits and withdrawals are free of charge. Best of all, there is unlimited (24/7) access to your wine, and no appointments required.

 All units are private, locked, alarmed and only you keep the key. Furnished with racking, you can display your bottles and enjoy the benefits of a fully functioning wine cellar. A wide selection of unit capacities, you can find a unit that matches the size of their current collection, and upgrade to a larger unit as your collection grows. Wine lockers range in size from 8 to 48 cases (in multiples of 8), and our walk-in wine cellars hold 200, 300 400 or 600 cases.

Private Cellaring is designed for bottle storage (i.e. bottles are removed from the case). Although case storage is possible, unit capacity is reduced. Those who prefer to keep most of their wine bottles “in the case” may want to consider our Custodial Cellaring plan, or a combination of both types of storage. Also, keep in mind that we do not keep a key to your unit. So we cannot access your unit to provide you with any of our Cellar Management Services such as home delivery or detailed bottle inventories (except during the “move-in” or “move-out” phase). Versus Private Cellaring, Custodial Cellaring caters to wine owners requiring a high level of personalized service, or a more “hands-off” approach to cellaring their wine. It also appeals to those that prefer to keep all their wine bottles in the case. With this plan, we take care of everything for you. You never lug cases around, nor do you ever need to visit the facility. Your wine is carefully inventoried into our Custodial Cellar, and delivered right to your door when you need it.

Although the monthly storage rates are the same, Custodial Cellaring comes with two different “inventory/access” options which influence the one-time handling fee upon entry of each case into the facility. Select the “Inventory Option” if you need more frequent access to your wine, and/or if you might want to take advantage of our Cellar Management Services (i.e. inventory reports, appraisals, home delivery, etc). Select the lower-priced “No Inventory Option” if you only need to “park” your wine for a set amount of time (such as for example, during a moving event or cellar renovation).
