François Villard will be at the Fine Wine Reserve to taste through a selection of his Northern Rhône wines in a private sit-down setting.
François Villard is “one of the stars of the northern Rhône.” (Robert M. Parker) Formerly a chef, he brings his complex palette to the winery to produce wines of power and grace that age for years.
His tiny domaine has gradually grown, and he now owns and sources from 30 hectares across five crus producing small amounts of highly allocated bottlings.
There is an aura of adventure and humour surrounding François that is infectious. He genuinely loves every aspect of his job and this passion and dedication shines through in his wines. They are bright, poised and vivacious with a spine tingling minerality, combined with amazing depth and intensity.
We’re excited to have François visiting Toronto, and for the opportunity for Fine Wine Reserve members to meet and taste with him.
We have not seen François' wines in our market for some time, so it is an excellent opportunity to taste the wines and meet the man behind them.
